Meet The Baker

Becky Lycan, owner and lead-baker at the Faded Apron Pie Company, is renowned for her eye for beauty, gift of hospitality, and her ability to turn the simple into the spectacular. A mother of 4 (Jordan, Nathan, Jessie and Rachel), Becky's children can testify to her skill in the kitchen and her easy way of bringing joy and comfort through delicious food. After many years working as an educator in Raleigh, North Carolina, turned missionary to South Africa, Becky has settled into the North Carolina mountains with her husband, Scott. Finally, after much encouragement from her family and friends, she is pursuing one of her dreams and formally sharing her baking with the Banner Elk and greater Highlands communities. 

When not baking or selling at the local market, Becky can be found hiking with her husband, reading a good book, spending time with her family, or working with the non-profit, Meniscus Inc.
